OUR TEACHERS

Dr Moni Lai Storz
(nee' Lai Suan Tin) is an Associate of Monash Mt Eliza Business
School, Monash University. Dr Storz spent many years researching
and experimenting with accelerated learning methods for the teaching
and training of a range of subjects - Sociology, Stress Management,
Cross-cultural Communication skills, Learning skills, etc. She
was the first to apply Accelerated Learning techniques to the
teaching of Chinese writing in Australia and this has been documented
in her book: MIND BODY POWER:THE SELF HELP BOOK ON ACCELERATED
LEARNING (Times Books International, Singapore, 1989, Reprinted
1990, 1993)
Dr Storz claims that accelerated learning techniques have increased
her creativity and expanded her consciousness. She writes fiction
as a hobby. Her published works include, Notes To My Sisters
(Times Books), Artworks of The Soul (GBS), Heaven Has Eyes (Monash
Int.), Switch on Your Mind (Allen & Unwin). Her books can
be obtained from our Shopfront.
Moni founded this Chinese Centre 14 years ago and is now currently
our Academic Director and Principal.

Faye Ke You finished her Master
in Banking and Finance in Loughborough University (Leicestershire)
in 2004 and is currently doing her PhD in London. Faye comes
form Shanghai. Having been teaching English for 3 years while
she was doing her Bachelor's degree in Shanghai, she is now a
Teaching Assistant in her university. With her academic achievement
and teaching experience, she is very confident in teaching Mandarin
Chinese with a passion and has a great sense of humor.

Hai Hong Tian is a qualified teacher originally from Yue
Yang Teachers' Institute, in the province of Hunan. She is currently
completing her Montessori International Diploma Course at the
Maria Montessori Institute. She is keenly interested in music,
singing and dancing and is very good at Chinese Calligraphy.
Tian has been in London for the past 5 years and has now joined
ECCS to be one of our Chinese teachers.

Jingjing Li graduated from the University of Nottingham
with a MSc degree in Food Science. Jingjing comes from Tianjin,
which is the third biggest city in China and have been in U.K.
over 2 years. She is keenly interested in travel, films and cooking.
She is very good at cooking Chinese traditional food and even
better at teaching Chinese Mandarin because she says: "To
be a teacher is my dream ever since I was very young and this
has never changed because I think a teacher is an engineer of
human souls."

Cai Lizhen is a first year Economics student in University
College of London. She comes from Shanghai, which is one of the
most modernized cities in China. She has been in the UK for 2
years and has experience in teaching Japanese students Chinese
in high school. She is passionate about teaching and her teaching
style is creative and lively.

Ying Gu gradated from Cass Business School of City University
with a MSc degree in Management and Internal Auditing. Ying comes
from Suzhou, one of the most developed cities in China near Shanghai.
With her Bachelor's degree in Business English and keen interest
in being a language tutor, she had various teaching experience
and developed her own teaching style based upon the saying of
Confucius "Tell me, I will forget; show me, I will remember;
and involve me, I will learn."

Deanna Lue Zhan has a L.L.M from
the University College of London and also a L.L.B from Sun Yat-Sen
University in China. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, English
andFrench. Her hobbies include travelling, playing the piano
and she loves Opera. Deanna's motto is to be passionate for life!
Pinky Ao Herroug
comes from Macau and her first language is Cantonese. She speaks,
reads and writes English fluently and she also has a basic knowledge
of Portuguese. She has been living and working in England for
more than 5 years. She graduated from Macau Polytechnic University
with a Higher Diploma of Public Relations and is now working
in a UK Healthcare Company. Having a passion to teach about her
culture and language, Pinky is also a part-time Cantonese teacher
at the ECCS College.
Rachel Yao graduated from UCL as a law student. She enjoys
teaching Chinese Mandarin as well as sharing exotic Chinese culture
with her students. She likes to have classes in an interactive
way giving students more opportunities to speak Mandarin. Rachel
has been teaching Mandarin since in High school in China. She
is a very dedicated teacher and really love teaching.
Yan Xu comes
from Guangdong Province where she has been brought up to speak
both Cantonese and Mandarin. She taught Chinese Mandarin for
awhile in China before coming to the United Kingdon. She has
a real passion in teaching. She teaches Chinese Mandarin and
Cantonese for ECCS. She has been trained by ECCS 'Teaching Mandarin
and Cantonese using Accelerated Teaching Methods'. She particularly
enjoy different kinds of interactions with her students. Her
interests in culture, cooking, dancing and fashion history have
certainly helped her to be one of the most helpful and dedicated
teachers.
Kelly Kaile Zou
is in her final year in University College of London. She comes
from Shenzhen, which is a highly developed city near Hong Kong.
She is fluent in Mandarin and English. Kelly taught Chinese Mandarin
to foreign students in China and as a result found that she really
loves teaching. Kelly has been living and studying in the UK
for 5 years. Her hobbies are singing, playing piano, reading
and teaching.

Valli Lai is the Executive Director of the ECCS.
She was originally from Malaysia and has been living and working
in England for the past 20 years. Her background is in management
and marketing and is also currently the director of Ensemble
Corporation, a highly succesful organisation in corporate interiors.
